Can anyone tell me what they used on any g-body to tuck 18s and 20s, 8 and 8.5 wide with 4.5 backspace? I want the fenders to just hang over the lip of the rim. I am starting with a different frame that is stripped down so it should be easier. I know my way with a wrench but am very limited to basic tools and space. thanks

You should be fine to tuck those, but I'm not familiar with the front inner fender and rear quarter profile on the malibu. It also depends how straight the body is in on the frame and how straight the quarter panels are hung. Absolute worst case you would have to roll the quarter panel lips. The fronts will be fine... Buick/Olds have a flat lip inside the front fender that eats up at least 1/2" of real estate. I think you can go out a bit farther on a Monte. I ran 8" rim, front and rear with 4.5" bs in the front and 4.25" bs in the rear with stock brakes. I had 4.75" bs in front, but it rubbed frame on hard turns (otherwise was ok).

If you have rear disc brakes, the rears will kick outboard by approx 3/16" to account for difference between drum thickness and rotor hat.
