I wanted to setup a thread to keep track of my progress; it's gonna be a pretty vanilla pro-touring build. I wanna build a solid, reliable car that I can drive anywhere without any worries. The body is rock solid. I think someone may have bought it just for drag racing because for being a Pennsylvania car it is basically rust free. Right now, I'm working on filling the firewall and installing mini-tubs then I'm going to cut down my 12-bolt. Hopefully after that build the front suspension, then the rear. I am pretty lucky because the car came with brand new everything; interior, mechanicals, trim, etc. I just finished up the firewall fill plate, it was a fun project for cutting my teeth on bodywork, hopefully if anybody sees any questionable work they will call me out on it, so I can fix it haha.

Got the inner wheelwells out. It wasn't that bad at all really, but three things made it an enjoyable project and not a nightmare.

1. 1969CamaroRS mini tub guide
2. Milwaukee Torch Sawzall Blades
3. Blair Spotweld Cutter

Finished the firewall, I'm quite impressed with how smooth it came out. I guess time and patience are necessary for bodywork.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy today, picked up a camaro donor car. Transmission was just rebuilt and engine has supposedly 50,000 on it. I drove it and it runs like a top. The guy just put a cheap paint job on it, new struts shocks and clutch. I sort of feel bad tearing it apart.

the key here is "sort of feel bad", but will feel really good when the parts hit the 1st gen. haha
