My BBC block and heads are showing signs of oxidation. Any suggestions of how to keep them looking new ?

I've often wondered why nobody ever has these items anodized.

You can't anodize cast aluminum, as a rule. Certainly not larger castings typically given a "sand blast" finish.
Not, at least in the way you'd expect- bright silver. The same mixed chemicals in the same order give cast a dark mottled look.
Billet/extruded only to get a bright finish.
