Camping at Goodguys Del Mar April 4-6. Who is going and who is camping there? I am planning to be there again and to bring my trailer again. Susan and I were there last year and I heard there were some after hours fun going on in the RV area that I missed out on. So, who is going and who is staying at the track?

Val and I will be there. We're staying at the Hilton next to the track and not camping though.

I wish I could, but I'm planning to drive the Mustang, and there are no reclining seats so I can't even rough that, lol. I'm looking to stay at either the Hilton Garden Inn or the Marriott, need to figure what place is better to park the car at and book a room in the next couple days.

Not camping but I would like to know options for trailer parking. Right now it looks like the car will come in on a trailer after multiple weeks on the road at events. I don't even really want to try and park a trailer at the Hilton but I'm wondering about other options near the track. Never done this at Del Mar before.

Goodguys has all trailers park in an equestrian center about a mile east of the freeway. Should be no problem for you guys ...

Tom- ^This is correct. There is no parking for trailers anywhere near the Hilton. A mile East is right, pretty convenient, but you still need to drive on main streets for that mile. Not sure if it's overnight parking as well, not that they'd be using it overnight.

I know exactly where this is. Not that far from the hotel or the show and we had plans to go to the tack store at the equestrian center anyway. This makes it that much more convenient.

We'll be there. Heard the stable area is pretty muddy, we may be in the normal spot

I just talked to Juan, who is the guy that runs the camping at the Fair Grounds and he said the stables should be dry by tomorrow. If you would like to camp with us tell him you want to be part of the "Stable Party".
Just so everyone knows we are planning on BBQing some meat on Friday night. There will be BBQ's available if anyone wants to swing by and hang out.
Saturday night is taco night. Matt A is bringing some killer taco meat and there will be a feast! If anyone wants to join us you are more than welcome. We have found that its easier to have a crowd there then trying to seat 50 people at a restaurant.

My "plan" is to head out around Friday 3AM driving the Mustang, but we will see. There are about 60 items still on my to-do list, car doesn't run, no interior, no brakes, stripes aren't fully painted yet. Gonna be a fun 1.5 days, oh boy.
