My car has fought me the whole time I have been working on it, mostly because I am fixing past owners work but I finally was able to put the subframe on and see how bad the front end was going to be.
No surprises the driver fender is way off (haven't messed with passenger side yet). So I started trying to shim it and when I got it high enough the fender to firewall bolt was out of sight. I did verify they are aftermarket fenders.
So here's what I'm doing....I drilled out all fender skin to inner structure spot welds and separated them. I'm going to install the fender mounting bolts and then try to move the fender skin around until it lines up and tack weld it back to the inner structure. I think the main problem is skin the inner structure alignment but just wondering if others have done this or if there are any other crazy methods out there.
