67 Camaro Convertible zz502, tko 600. 2" drop srpings front and back. Looking at the following 3 wheels (the coys are the grey center) car is torch red with the black bumble bee stripe. Leaning toward the centerlines 17x9.5, 5.5bs rear with a 255/45/17, and 17x8 fronts with a 235/40/17. Any opinions on the 3 wheels. Has anybody had any quality/service issues with centerline? New here and loving the board - thanks for your input.

I have never had a set of centerlines....I don't know if yu have priced the Billet specialties yet but they are considerably more than either of the other two.

Here is my .02 cents......in order of what I would put on it!
1. Billet Specialties
2. Centerlines
3. Coys(I love the gray centers)

compound the grey coys will look nice but I think they are too common...go with something you wont see on every other 1st gen you'll be happier...I got 18" chrome TT IIs on my 68 but I'm gettin rid of em and getting something in a 19".........

I like the grey coys, even if they are common. Theres a reason TT's are so popular.

I think picking a wheel can be the biggest and hardest decision when finishing a car. I feel for you pal. I am tossing and turning over what wheels I should run, so I know what you going through. I think the Billet Specialties would look the best on the Camaro, plus you can get them in a soft lip.

thanks for the replies. I am leaning towards the centerlines because they look almost identical to the billet specialties for about 600 bucks less for the set of 4. After the cash I dropped on the 502 and tko my wife is about to make me sleep in the thing.

Will somebody explain the soft lip to me. This is a new term for me, and I am not familiar with it.

I dig the grey centers to, but the car has a black stripe with the black rag top, and it seems to need a little flash.

Still can't decide.

I think the Bonspeed.com Huntington wheel looks the same as the B'Spec. wheel. They HAVE to be less than the Street Star...

That Bonspeed wheel beats them all. It makes the Billet Specialties wheel look like a pie tin!

The billet speicalties are pretty pricy... but the centerlines arnt too bad and a nice wheel..

I spend 3 months picking the wheels for my camaro... PRICE VS. WHAT LOOKED NICE.. and i ended up buying them from Summit for $200 each ... prices have gone up since then..

If you contact centerline you might get them to cut you a deal on them directly..

Bonspeed all the way! Try the Delta ! I like the style and machining of their designs. Try www.streetsource.com for online pricing, Garrick Arrends is the guy to e-mail back and forth with. Seemed like a straight shooter.

The centerlines look like cheap Hopsters from Budnik. Bonspeed Deltas are to meaty for me. The coy wheels look like coddington copies. I would go with Bonspeeds before any of the ones you list.

I bought my Centerlines on clearance. The tech said they were producing them for another company (wouldn't say who) that was putting their name on them, and this was leftover stock (other company stopped buying them).

One day I was looking at a magazine and saw a Camaro with my exact rims. Only they were "Billet Specialties." Makes me wonder if Billet makes all their rims.

Must be nice to have a BB Camaro AND a Viper :naughty:
I had thought about those Centerlines in 18" (8"/9.5") for my 68 but also wondered about having the centers painted or powdercoated.

I like the Centerlines Retros which is why I chose them for my car. As for quality, Im a little disappointed in the polished finish. Looks llike I am going to be doing some more polishing! They look cool though! Dont have pics yet, my car is still in build-up phase.

WELL, I just discovered that centerline has jumped the price way up on the sundance I was looking at. It looks like I will be going with the Coy's. Does anybody have any experience with them? Which finish is recommended? I am leaning towards the chrome.

I too have been torn between the Centerline- Retro and the Billet Specilties Street Stars. Nostalgia wheel company quoted me $296 for the Street stars in 17x9.5 w5.5 bs and $288 for 17x8 w/4.75 bs. That is a big difference compared to Billet Specialties web site that has them for $371.

Tons of cars on Ebay are running Chrome Coy's in the 18/20 combo I must have seen at least 10 cars in the last month or two with those wheels on them, I'd go for something different myself, unless of course money is the deciding factor. Coy's are cheaper than the rest...
