Okay so after a lot of thought I decided to look into self tuning systems for my ls engine I came across the GM LS EZ-EFI 2.0™ self tuning engine control kit and wanted to See if anyone has ever used this system I just want to be able to plug it in and go also for the 4l80e I came across TCI EZ-TCU Automatic Transmission Controllers and the TCI Paddle Shifters that say they work with the transmission controller now obviously this is a lot of money to use on just wiring and wanted to know if these were good and if anyone else has used them also with the ls self tuning would I not need my engine computer? Thanks also I decided to go this route since I can't find any good tuners in my area

Search EZ EFI 2.0 on here. There are many negative reviews. We've installed a couple of their 1.0 versions and couldn't get them to tune perfect for drive-ability .

I'd recommend MSD's LS EFI system..

I've read alot of good and bad reviews on them. While I think they are making great advances in the "self tuning" category, I think there is still alot of development that needs to be done before a company can safely make that claim. Right now I think they are over optimistic on their marketing.

I've used the EZ-TCU transmission controller without any consistent issues. Just make sure you get good wiring connections for power. If power gets interrupted, you sometimes have to reprogram it which can make life interesting if it happens at the wrong time.

Look at the Holley Dominator EFI system. I will control the fuel, spark, and transmission. It also has a self-learn feature that will greatly enhance the ease of tuning. Keep in mind, there is no "self-tuning" system out there. With every system, there are dozens of parameters that will have to be tuned for perfect drivability and start-up in a variety of temperatures. Also, the transmission tuning will have to be done manually to reflect your desired shifting quality, intensity, and timing. The Holley Dominator EFI can do all that for you and a lot more.

Post your location. With all the LS swaps around this forum, someone may be able to point you in the right direction. One of the good reasons to display in your profile IMO. Mail order tune is also an option.
