I've attended all sorts of automotive events since I was 15 years old [in 1976 :)]...professionally since 1987. NHRA, NSRA, Goodguys, and many others. This USCA event has met and exceeded every performance metric I could envision. The atmosphere was light and fun and the event ran right on time, right by the book. The venue was, by ANY standard, iconic, as well as being a GREAT place to race. If you didn't get enough track time in any segment it was because you were broke, dumb, or absent. By the end of each day most people were plumb worn out...they had to coax people into running the final sessions!
$500 for 3 days of that level of fun? You'd spend that at the bar in three nights and feel a lot worse for it the next day. To Jimi Day, Cam Douglass, Wally Olzack, nad John Condren, and the rest of the staff from from USCA...congratulations. You have exceeded my [already high] expectations both as a sponsor and [more importantly] as a participant.
Lets go to TEXAS!!

I was only volunteering, but I was genuinely stunned (and chronically jealous) at how much time everyone got on each course. Combining nearly unlimited shots at each course with the perfect weather and iconic setting could not possibly have been matched with any other sanctioning body. USCA has undoubtedly set a new standard; I will most definitely have my car in order next time there's a chance to get to an event so close to where I live.
Seeing people worn out from autocrossing is not likely to happen in any other event. Actual discussion: "How many times do I get to run?" Response: "Is it lunch time yet?"
On a final note, while many of us were expecting everything to be pro-touring style, the diversity of cars on the track was just awesome. From Nissan GTRs (at least three), to (at least one) Mercedes SLRs/AMGs, to the most incredible '66 Chevelle I've ever seen, the variety of vehicles really made the day for a lot of people. Let's see more of this kind of event!

On behalf of all of the other volunteers and myself it was a great weekend of car racing and speed challenges. Most of all the new people you get to meet and socialize with are the greatest. You get to hang out with someone with a common interest of taking a car that was designed to be one thing, and making it better looking, as well as having better performance.
Everyone must go to this event. I know I am telling all my friends to go to the next one.
Looking forward to the next one in California.
Best,

Great event at a awesome venue. Plenty of track time and nice garages to work on the cars. The track people were very friendly and helpful. Yes, the county has unrealistic sound standards but everyone worked together to get through it. Credit to Jimi and the USCA crew for that one.
Can't wait for Fontana.

I'm glad I got in on the first event, because when the word gets out about how incredible this weekend was there will have to be a lottery to get in. Fantastic job. It would seem that you have been doing this for a long time to have this inaugural weekend be so flawless. Can't say enough about the organizers or the participants. This is one of the best car weekends I have ever attended and that was my thought before winning the Sprit of the Event Award. Talk about icing on the Cake.as I have said on other posts to people that thought that they may not be good enough" don't be afraid of what could be the best Car weekend in your life".
My sincere Thanks to everyone that worked so hard so we could have the fun. It is very much appreciated. Thank you to the participants who also made this event one of the best I have attended, and I have been doing these for 14 years. I think that you gave us more than our moneys worth.
Thanks again, Martin Pond

The event was first class all the way, vary professional. We enjoyed the road rally and appreciate that it was NOT about speed as that is what we teach our son. the auto cross and speed stop were run well and the venue was great. although we did not make it to the road course (cracked head) we had a great time. Thanks Jimi!

What a great, well run, and organized event! Hats off to Jimi Day and company. Well worth the cost of entry. For an inaugural event, and especially for one that was being run at a venue with strict sound regulations and roving db tests, I am amazed out how smoothly everything went!
