I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of all the parts needed to swap a th350 to a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission. Is there any kits out there that are reasonable or am I better off piecing it together myself?

thanks

You could piece something together if you're doing a mechanical linkage and a 4 or 5 speed. If you're doing hydraulic and 5 speed then you can PM me :)

If you’re going with a manual clutch then you’ll need the following: Z bar kit, Clutch/Brake Pedal, Clutch, Clutch Fork, Flywheel, and Bellhousing. If you want a hydraulic clutch then you’ll need Clutch/Brake Pedal, Clutch, Clutch Fork, Flywheel, and Bellhousing, Clutch master cylinder, and either a hydraulic throw-out bearing or a slave cylinder, if you go with the hydraulic throw-out bearing you can skip the clutch fork. You’ll also need to either find a plate for your firewall that will give you the correct angle for the clutch master cylinder or get a master cylinder that has a plate/adapter with it, this is the case with either slave cylinder or hydraulic throw-out bearing setup.

a simple google search will bring up many options from other threads where this has been asked to parts suppliers (remember you cna search under "camaro" too. it's the same conversion. as an example:

When I purchased my 68 Camaro in 91 it had a turbo 350 in the car, but the clutch pedal was under the dash. Purchased all of the clutch linkage from npd and found a Muncie at a swap meet, bell housing at a junk yard and flywheel and clutch at a local speed shop. After many years I am know in the process of changing the motor and going from a Muncie to a Tremec TKO 600. I went with American power train and was not the happiest with their service. Ordered conversion kit in May and finally received the last part in July. I had to cancel the transmission from American powertrain because they would not have it until the end of July first of august. Got the TKO from summit.
