I lot of people say "Why do a Malibu 4DR?".
I like the body shape, especially with the right sized rubber.

Those cars have great potential. Someone recently build some kind of sleeper similar to this one and it was just loaded with goodies and fabrication. Mabey someone can find that.

This car is so sick. It kinda makes me want a Malibu like that to make a street fighter. Maby one of those will be my next project.
But I want to hear more about the wheels and tires. What are they and what sizes and what finish do the wheels have. It would be funny to go from 15" black ralley wheels to 18" ones on my car.

Very close. They are hard anodized Billet 90s from Wheel Vintiques. I had them anodized locally. They are 17x8", 5.25"BS F, 17x9.5", 4.5"BS R. BFG Killer Dry (KD), 245/40/17, 275/40/17.
I wish I had gone with a 245/45/17 front. It's an inch total taller and I think would have gone better proportionally.
I am going to freshen the primer next week, after I re-hang the front end and trunk lid. Same light gray on body, Dark gray primer around the window trim. The hood is more white because it was outside during the project.
Looks like the Holley Commander 950 EFI is working well for you.
Yes, with the WBO2 controller the 950 Pro is absolutely great. I've got my girlfriend trained to ride along and work the laptop...

I love the stance and the wheel and tire package, although you may be right about the front tire height. I had an 81 el camino back in the day with 15x8 rear and 15x7 front ralley wheels with the dog dish center caps and no trim rings. It had 245/60’s on the rear 225/50’s on the front, and I thought that was wide.
Oh yeah, the blower ain’t bad either!

There's a few new pix at my site, and I'll post some more in the next 3 days. I've been out of work for a while and haven't had the money to do much, but I just got a great offer and am expecting another one tomorrow. Should be starting a new job within 10 days.
The sad thing was that when I had the time, I had no money.
When I'll have the money, I won't have the time!
Next steps:
Interior: Carpet, Dynamat sound damper, seats, homemade inner door covers and hardware, new headliner, replace 2 scratched windows
Exterior: Align sheetmetal, reprime body and trim, chop/narrow the bumpers
Performance: Get drag radials, hook up nitrous, tune with nitrous,
raise driver's side exhaust 1". Go to track. Get kicked off track.

It must be nice to be able to park it someplace and quietly carry on about your business without bucktoothed mullet-headed kids thronging the car asking "You got a Hemi in that thing?"

Finally got to get on the dyno at Apex Motorsports in NorCal. It was a pretty exciting day. First we had a little Pro-Touring get together at Speed Merchant in San Jose, and I got to take the car out for the 1st time in like 5 weeks. I met my friend Curt there (69 Firebird, procharged SBC 355) - but he hung out only for a little while and told me he was going to a Dyno Day at Apex Motorsports in Santa Clara, for a special 3-pulls-for-$55 group day on their above-ground DynoJet Chassis Dyno.
I switched to the truck for a while and went over and checked out what was happening. There was a lot of cars around and maybe 40 people. I tried to get on the dyno list but the operator said the list was full. Curt's 69 Firebird was last on the dyno list, but I didn't see him around. I called him and he said it was a 2-hour wait and he couldn't hang, and gave me his spot. I went back home and snagged the 4DR again and hurried back. I got to hang out talking and meeting new people until 7:04PM to make my first run. I tried one in 2nd, unlocked converter. One in 3rd, unlocked. Last one in third, locking at approx. 45mph.
THE RESULTS:
501rwhp at 5800
470ft/lb at 5250
Pump 91 octane, no knock.
Everyone else was shutting their cars down and letting them cool for like 20 min. between runs, but my GF was waiting for me, so I did the runs back to back without shutting down the car. This was the 3rd run:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
There were some Ford Cobra guys standing around laughing at my car when I rolled onto the dyno. Since the best any of them put down that day was 470rwhp, they weren't laughing after my last pull, when the operator called out that I had broken 500! To give credit where credit is due, there are a few 03-04 Cobras around that are running hi-boost (19#) Whipples putting down in the 600rwhp range. Need to watch for them.
I was pretty happy with the numbers considering that the Vortech V-2 S-trim is too small and I can get a max of 7.5# of boost from it, after the FMIC and throttle. That's on a healthy breathing 383 with a small solid roller (230/236, net lift .575/.584, 112LSA), good heads (ported E-Tec 200's), 9.6:1CR, LT's, true 3" duals. I'm wondering how the HP would have held up if I set the tranny shift point higher - the line was pretty flat until the shift.
Definitely a day to remember!
Thanks to George at Apex for showing me what to do.
In the latest news, I have a new V-2 T-trim here waiting to go on. It should get me to the 10-12# range and after tuning, put down around 600-630rwhp and hopefully 550-580rwt. I just ordered the FJO Racing alky kit for use on hot days, dyno pulls and at the track. And I still haven't hooked up either stage of nitrous. Having too much fun with the boost!
In addition, I solved some of my fuel heating problems by adding an Aeromotive pump controller which cuts the pump speed in half under about 2500rpm, and I also plumbed into my fuel return line a B&M Supercooler right behind the rear end. Then I made a new flared 6"-to-4" air intake and filter mount for a huge (11"T x 8"w can) K&N filter.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/04/4dr_air_inlet_asmby2-1.jpg
I also got some MT ET Drag radials (275/40/17) that I hope will help me hook off the line but still handle. I got them based on recommendations from my Turbo Buick friends on the Bay Area Turbo Buick Forum. They are clearly stickier than the current BFG KD's. I have new ratio roller rockers to put on to get the most lift out of my heads (net ~.609").
Here's a picture from our cruise to Monterey. It was a shakedown cruise for me - I had previously never gone more than 10 miles from home while I fixed different bugs. On this trip I logged 160 miles:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2007/04/4dr_turbo_buick_cruise_to_monterey1-1.jpg
I'm looking forward to hooking back up with the club for a track day.

Final picture of the 383/Vortech T-trim setup:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/12/4dr_air_intake_drivers_side_med-1.jpg
Last dyno was 632rwhp/570rwt at 11.7# of boost. Since then I replaced the flexible air inlet tubing with much larger radius 4" bends that I had hard anodized dark grey. That freed up another .6# of boost for a current peak of 12.8# at 6500rpm and added some more midrange power too. I never did hook up either nitrous stage.
So I feel like I'm close to exceeding the GMPP 4-bolt block's capabilities, so I'm slowly building up a Motown block-based motor with a sidemount Whipple 3.3 twinscrew:

Thanks, guys.
Stickman - I do plan to chop and flush mount the bumpers sometime soon - it is a really clean look.
Supra510 - the drag radials already made a huge difference. Where before I had to worry about breaking loose anytime under 50 with a full-power downshift, now it will stick down to about 20mph and just hunker down and go. I haven't played with lower pressures yet and extreme launching.
Here's a couple of my latest motor pics:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
Sticking with a solid roller but went bigger with a Comp Cams 242/
[email protected] on a 115LSA. Net lift with the shaft rockers (1.7 ratio intake, 1.8 exh) will be .630"I/.674"E, with net duration somewhere around 239/
[email protected] at the cam and some pretty agressive valve motion. I want to let the competion-CNC AFR 227 heads breathe.
Here I am test fitting the exhaust adapters for the 1 7/8" Hedman Race longtubes - the adapters still need a lot of porting to match the heads:

Checking the quench height and piston-to-valve clearances with clay. Based on this, I had to get custom Cometic .027" MLS head gaskets to get the quench down to .048", since this clay with a .040" gasket was consistently reading .061-.062":

The World Single Plane plenum after extensive porting and flow matching to feed the heads under boost:
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
More to come in the next couple weeks. I need to fabricate all the brackets and Intake sheetmetal for the Whipple 3.3 which will be hung standing up on its side on the passenger side of the motor.
