70 Chevelle Rims and Tire ideas ? Need help, Thanks

Hello, this is my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 w 4l80e. So far I have installed a UMI rear suspension w/ front and rear anti sway bars. And 1.5" lower springs in the front. Factory disk in front and drums in rear (will upgrade in the future) I am looking to do new rims Vision Torque 143 - Gunmetal Machined Lip 18x8.5 front 245/45/18 and 18x9.5 rear 295/45/18. I am wondering what back spacing? Would I need... Has anybody run these rims/problems of quality???
Don't have a lot of money for the upgrade, budget by the wife.I am open for any ideas, options. The chevelle will be driven to shows some as far 1,000 mile so I need a somewhat good ride and NO rubbing.

According to this article ( http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/fitting_tires_wheels/#ixzz2pGnkhD8K ) you'll need 5.5" in font and back. But Ive read several times that 4 3/4 is better in the front.

Im not sure what tire manufacturer youre going with but that tire width might be a touch wide for a 9.5" rim. Of course, Im saying that because 285/35 is a bit balloony on a 9.5. Maybe be just fine with 45 series tire.

Thanks for the link and info, the tires I keep finding that might work Front 245/45/18 and for the Rear 285/40/18. Tire brand is Continental Extreme Contact DW

Those should fit as long as you don't have any drop in front. Could be tight in front on a 2" drop.

I hope to get my stuff mounted Sunday. 245/40R18 and 285/35R18 on my '69. I'll take many pics to illustrate.
