I am getting close to the end of my project. It is now time to buy some wheels. I have a tci 4 link , not mini tubbed. I want to do 18x9 in the front and 20x10 n the rear. not to sure though , I have a 496 and 6 speed. I want to get the right size for function not just looks. any suggestions

Stock width rear end? Did the brakes alter the width? 20" is a little tall IMHO. What sort of sidewall height will you have left? 18 all around looks good. I used a 5.75 inch backspacing on a 18x10 rear wheel with my G-Bar and LS-1 rear brakes. I think this is the most commonly recommended backspacing.

Thanks Don,
Yes I am running a stock 12 bolt with the BAER rear disc track set up. I hear the widest I can run is a 285 which is plenty for me.

I agree that 20" would be too much in the rear IMO.

285 will be real tight and you will have to nail the back spacing with a perfectly centered rear end. 275 is a safer bet along with the 5.75 backspace.

Well I just got a curve ball thrown at me, I like the ideal of 19s around. looking at the VF498 American racing
