Spent some time talking with Jason at GMR in Anaheim about what I wanted to change up on this truck then finally took it out to him to look at. I think he took the job out of pity when he saw how bad the OEM stuff was. lol
He finally got some shop space for me so off I went. The bars will be powdercoated gunmetal grey to match the wheels. Everything is chromoly with HK heims...blah blah blah. Pretty standard stuff around here but if y'all saw what came out from under it you'd know why I'm so stoked.

Seems like just a few hours later he sent me this pic.

Fabrication is well underway...
Everything they do is machined in house except the heims.

Almost home. Everything is fabbed and tacked into place. The bars should be out for powdercoat today while everything is being welded out and the axle painted. I'm also having them put boots on the heims to keep road grime out of them as much as possible. Looks like it's on track to be picked up on Friday.

Very cool. I just picked up my 2014 Ram a few weeks ago. This time I went 4x4 instead of street machine. Cool to see someone diving in and making the truck really handle.

Is this just a geometry improvement over the stock parallel four link?

Yes. It was so far out of whack after a 6" drop it wasn't even funny....and the upper link bar on the axle was the first point of contact with the frame. It hit before the bumpstops.

Surgery is complete.
Here's both sides of the new panhard with new brackets on both ends.

Wow, I didn't know people were getting them that low. How is towing?

I have a brand new F250 for towing stuff...this is just a show truck and toy. It doesn't have a tow hitch at all and never will.

Why stick with a 4 link instead of going to a 3 link? You should be able to get much better anti-squat numbers while still maintaining roll neutral/understeer.

Because all the basics were already in place. We didn't have to start from scratch....just make the old stuff right.
Or you could say I took the easy way out. lol

Got it, new center bracket for upper link is not an easy packaging exercise.

I got it picked up this morning...I gotta say Jason did an outstanding job. Everything looks phenomenal. Unfortunately I'm working today so the only driving I got to do was onto and off of the trailer. I have a stereo competition tomorrow but I'm gonna head for the canyons Sunday morning and give it a good work out. Knowing what came off of it I can only smile when I think about how good it's gonna be.

Not to get off topic, but are those air horns where your spare tire would hang?
