Is there anyone out there having any success running a BBC in an autocross car? Can weight savings in font end frame/sheet metal offset engine weight? Thanks for input.

The famous "Big Red" Camaro is a great street legal race car with a BBC. It is a pretty effective corner carver.

Big Red isn't exactly an Autocross car...

You can save 78 lbs off a big block Chevy by installing aluminum heads and intake. Big Block Camaros can handle just fine. A small block or LS has more advantage, but big blocks are more fun. :)

Andrew is correct. Big Red is not set up for autocross. :)

Thanks for input. It's been a while since I checked in; been working on quick ratio steering.

Hmm, 78 pounds savings from heads and intake....how much more does an aluminum block save? That's what I was looking at before I decided to build an LS.
