New guy here and started my project today by purchasing a front crossmember. My bolt pattern options are Ford or Chevy and the wheels I have picked out(with the backspacing that will allow me to turn lock to lock) only come in 5x4.72. Im sure this has come up before but searched and cant find it in this forum. Anyone ran these and had good success or disasterous results please let me know.

They will physically bolt on, but aren't correct. Just get the correct wheels.

I run them with no issues to date. You will get mixed reply's on this topic. Some will say they should never be used, while lots of others run them and believe they are ok to use.

Thanks guys. The wheels I want in the Chevrolet pattern will interfere with the frame. While the bmw wheel has a high enough offset would work, gonna get in contact with wilwood to see if the can make a set of rotors to get the correct pattern.

guess why i spend the amount on shipping and taxes to europe on a set of forgeline wheels when i live 1 hours away from one of the biggest aftermarket companyīs for high performance rims in europe (BBS Wheels in Germany) where i could have gotten a set of badass BMW rims for half of the forgelines? i just donīt get it why people in the states even start to think about it!!!!!!!?????? yes thereīs also a bunch of folks here who use the bmw wheels for years now but most of them do it cause they canīt afford aftermarket wheels and shipping from the US (i paid alone 800$ on shipping and another 1500$ on custom taxes on my forgelines), but i would never be comfortable in high performance applications cause it stresses the wheel studs even the difference is just minimal. and getting wilwood done a set of custom rotors will make it better but adds a lot of money again so those bmw wheels have to be a special deal to you :) . just my thoughts on this.

You can also run an adapter or like I did, take the hubs and brake rotors to a machinist and have them re-drilled for the correct bolt pattern. IIRC it cost me around $200 for the labor

Even if you do run them without correcting the bolt pattern discrepancy, you do need to realize that bmw wheels are hubcentric. You can buy rings that will fix the difference between gm and bmw hubs.
