I'm digging for tires at the moment (245/35/18 & 275/35/18 to be exact). Anyone have good luck on ADVANs ?
BFg gforce T/A kdw 2 are also an option, but friends and internet chatter says their noisy and develop cupping quickly. Anyone experience that?
Thanks, Landon

What model Advan are you looking at? I HATE HATE HATE KDW2's, they are a garbage ass tire that ricers buy because they look cool.

I ran AO-32's I liked and my new ones are the AO-48's. Be aware they are low tread wear rating DOT R tires and don't qualify if you're entering any of the ASCS/GG/USCA type of events even though they're street legal.

The Advan sports. I just realised a mistake in measuring my current tires. I'll be fine with a 245/40/18 which opens up a world of tire options.

I was suspect of that after reading the KDW description "a blend of a dramatic-looking, ultra high performance tread design"

yoko advan A048's come stock on my Lotus, they even have a special tire weight and rubber compound made for the car's. Mine are wearing very well altho the rears do get killed pretty quick but that is more car specific. They are nice and sticky but will not squeal when you are over-stepping the bounds, you just loose traction. Many Lotus guys end up going to the R888's only to get longer life out of them but you do give up some traction. I would think that excessive cupping or uneven wear would be caused from the car itself. Probably worn out suspension or shocks
