I really like the low mount ac , and overall looks are better than compared to some others wich has too much "billet"


But why allways need for an new balancer? Make something wich would work with oem balancer, lots of crate engine bayers who would appreciate bolt on parts.

Thanks for the comments.. and Bowtie Racing, the low mount works with the factory "truck" damper offset.. It was really the first higher end complete system built to do that.. we can sell them without the damper for use with truck and 2010 and later Camaro applications.. (which is the truck offset ) You can pick up those dampers for a song if your engine runs the vette or Camaro offset and we can save you a couple hundred.. We developed that specifically for those guys wanting to retain the factory damper, which is not a bad way to go.. Feel free to contact with questions..

I did. Another of our sponsors made a custom panel for me which came out great. I intend to show off his work a bit later on in my build thread.

To the point of this thread, as we discussed as well, a high mount, no AC variant is right up my alley.

We have yet to run into a fitiment issue, we designed the ac fit and ps fit to the engine with that in mind. also aftermarket frames are usually made to provide extra clearance down there over factory.. .. we can confirm for sure PM me or shoot me an email with any pics you want, I can also send some dimensions so we can figure it up front..

It isn't a truck water pump, the outlet comes out the top at a angle

That's right.. There are aftermarket water pumps with the bolt on flange available from a bunch of sellers.. We can provide it, edelbrock, prw etc.. it is a common flange to chevys.. Your right it exits forward unlike the truck design which goes up.. All based on GM pumps but with a press on chevy flange for our pulley. The custom parts, pulleys, brackets etc we cnc machine here on premises, and its built like a tank.
Cool Camaros by the way.. a 67 and a 68.. Makes me want to take my 68 out soon and get into some trouble.

I'm now looking for a drive set up for my LS3 in to 70 Camaro with DSE subframe.

I do like the look of your system, but I would like low mount A/C compressor, but without notching subframe.

Have you looked at low A/C mount option with alternator and power steer in same (driver side) position as per attached image?

Using a small Sanden compressor, could it be mounted forward on separate belt utilising a different crank pulley? Or could whole drive system spaced forward?

You wont have to notch the subframe but the alt needs to go on the pass side to make that system work.. the head is further back on the engine on that side allowing to run on the factory gm late model Camaro offset.. not sure why the alt would have to be moved, it is a one wire unit..

Purely aesthetic from my view

Do you have any images with low mount in a DSE subframe? or 1st or 2nd Gen Camaro.

So with the high mount set up the belt is further forward than the low mount. This would be a help to move compressor forward in low mount position if maintained position of alt & P/S on driver side. (hoping that makes sense).

I'm currently in the process of switching to the Drive Junky set up with the high A/C mount....the other kit I had wouldn't hold up during track days. Bolts up nicely so far but because of my dry sump set up i'm waiting on a custom built bottom pulley. I chose the drive junky based on others using it and not having issues with belts coming off over 7K rpm. several months out to really put it to test.
