Hey,

Looking at a possible purchase of the DSE subframe bushings for the sec gen Camaro. I noticed they do not come with hardware. Is it worth buying thier for $120 or sourcing the bolts from somwhere else? What have you all used?

Thanks, Rob

Yeah, most kits from others come with the hardware. DSE doesn't and it's $120 for their kit. Wondering what others have actually done.

I bought a Proforged set and it came with hardware. Nice pieces. If you get the DSE, you can order grade 8 stuff from mcmaster or fastenall.

Anyone know the UHL of the fasteners for the DSE bushing? I know their thickness may vary which the UHL of the fastener may be different than OEM.

BTW why in the heck is there fastener kit $120?? for 6 fasteners and 2 nuts?

Because ARP stainless, that's why. The body mount kit is $120, the stainless bolts are $99. That does seem like a lot of money for bolts, but again, because stainless. Totally stainless has a similar bolt kit, it's only $95.

If you don't need shiny bolts holding your subframe to your body, then grade 8 bolts will be just fine.

I'm sure if you purchase the connectors from DSE they will gladly share what length bolt you need if you don't want to buy the Arp's.

I already bought the bushings from Summit. I was hoping a vendor or a member would have them on the shelf and would share the length.

Since your the only one that knows if you have the half height or the full height bushings, you probably wont get an answer.

If you have the bushings and the car, it seems to me all you need is a tape measure.

Got the answer from DSE, Thanks,

BTW, all you would have to do is ask. .500 drop or stock....
