Sweet.....my very first car when I was 16 was a 73 Maverick so I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them. Glad to hear that your old Mav is going to get some attention

I didnt know what you meant by 91 c4 front end until I got to the picture. You should mix things up properly and drop a Magnum or other Mopar under the hood. LOL. Anyway... We like Mavericks and will be watching for updates.

Maverick is an underappreciated choice for an awesome pro touring car. Totally dig it!

Nothing wrong with a mut car. I have an AMC with Chevy and Ford drive parts in the drive line.

There's still a ton of good info on there as well as people with the parts you could end up needing. I have one as well and I'm looking forward to getting after mine as well. Looking forward to your updates!

Definitely a great resource. I've been a member there since 2003 and am still learning things about our cars. There are builds on that site spanning the gambit from restored classic to full on tube frame Pro Touring an Pro Street.

Most of the knowledge on this site, would be lost on the MMB.

i agree maverick.to is a great website with lots of info,i just dont think they would be very welcoming of the idea of the corvette frontend in a mav.I'vegotten alot of good ideas from there

i think i need a new flywheel.it was rubbing the divider plate between the motor and the trans.its balanced so i thimk it cant be machined.anybody ever had this problem?

Yeah I got in a debate about CLD matting and its actual intended use ...some are set on using the wrong part for the job cause something is cheaper...even when you explain and show proof
and yes just like any crowd a when you mix car brands they go ape shiat...except for rearends for some reason...

on torinocobra site i mentioned if anyone has ever installed a full frame from a 72+ torino or even a GM A-body on a 71-71 torino and allot focused on 2nd frame and got bent out of shape LOL

funny but sad

yep,I'm definitely a ford guy but its was way cheaper to get a vette frontend instead of upgrading the original stuff and spend a fortune and still have 50 year old tech the mav stuff being based on the falcon design.

nope, they just had totaly different engines with familair cube displacment...so everyone assumed they just borrowed engines from different brands

back on topic, cant wait to see the vette frontend mockedup/installed :-D

They sourced Pontiac and Audi 4 banger motors and the torque commander trans was just a dodge torque flight.
