Yes, closely match mechanical parts work best. The inquiry stems from how close are injector flow rates from the box? Particularity Bosch 0280155968 (aka green giant). Popular upgrade but also used in OE applications. Cant imagine them being far off flow wise if used in OE, no?

What have others experienced?

actually I have seen as much as 12% on OEM injectors, and that range has been both new and used/refurbished.
IF you want to see better idle characteristics research Injector Dynamics. I have seen tuned cars , 4 cyls, running ID2000s and idle well with 1ms to 2ms idle pulse widths.
ALSO they have a much better record of running higher pressures. Basically they can run at 100psi and not lock open.

I have seen 5-6% variance in injector flow from a set of 8. That means some cylinders will run lean & others rich. In the hardcore Track Engines we build, we only use injectors with less than 1% variance.

Another reason to run sequential injection if you can....
