My car is finally getting closer, Kyle sent me these pictures. I hope to have it back by this weekend!! The motor is done, custom stainless headers/exhaust is done/coated, and everything is going in today. They had to raise the transmission tunnel inorder to get the correct driveline angle. These guys really do a great job, pictures, phone calls every step of the way..

Nice! Looks like instead of massaging the tunnel to fit, they cut the top off and made a new top?

Yes, I guess it must have taken more than just "massaging". Here's what it looks like with the top cut off..

Looks great! The jet-hot coating looks great on the custom headers and i like the way they did the trans tunnel

I'm impressed! Well worth the wait! the only thing is, I have always wondered about nothicng the exhaust like that, seems like that would severely limit the size of the pipe, looks like it is almost notched half way? They did the same thing on Sick Fish. So did they coat the entire exhaust? Also what kind of valve covers are those?

I hope you bring it out to the 1431 meet when its done, I'd love to see it.

Dude,
Send them one of your T/A's! I wanna see a T/A with the DSE treatment.

 :seizure: I didn't think that car could get any better! Wrong again!

Love the dumped exhaut at the end, IMO that is the best look for Camaros, less Z-28 like.

Better idea, sell me a 73 TA and let me send it to them for the DSE treatment :)

Your approach to muscle cars is top-notch. Looking forward to the end result.

It's not as severe as it looks. They coated the headers and mufflers, the piping is all stainless. I don't know about the valve covers, Kyle picked those up..

thanks for all the comments guys,

very nice work, I kind of like the raw look of the stainless instead of coating. Either or looks awesome.

that car is SO SWEET!!!!!!

but,,,

from a performance standpoint that notch is HORRIBLE!!! why bother with mandrel bends at all if you do that?

What motor did you end up choosing? I remember you were leaning towards a big block, but I never heard the final verdict. The camaro looks great!

DSE does some impressive work, they even got your car to hover in the air without wheels on that first pic.

I'm sending them my land speeder! Luke will be envious of my pro-touring 'speeder :)

shouldn't this be in project updates? I'm gonna have to call DSE, I really like those VC's. Mine are nice too, but i have always liked the fabricated ones. What kind of pan is that? So is the car going to be finished after this? cant wait to see some more pics!

Looks good S,
can't wait to see more!

from a performance standpoint that notch is HORRIBLE!!! from the looks of the rest of it I think he can afford to loose 10-15 HP. Its a small price to pay for stuff not to scrape on the ground.

i guess you right on that but i would guess more like 50hp since it is a LARGE eninge that needs to exhale alot more then your average big block. i have always been the type to maximize what i have so it bugs me. I am jsut a freak!! :)

i love that car though!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing the pics!!
