Rally II style wheel

Does anyone know who made these wheels? Are they available commercially or are they "one-offs"? I think I've seen the Firebird in previous SEMA coverage. Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Discovered that they are indeed one-offs for a "customer" of the shop that built the car. Great. Another wheel I like that I can't have.

I get it that there are many talented builders out there and that they want to showcase their skills by machining wheels like these. However, I think they're missing a huge opportunity. Sure, make custom wheels for your customer, but why not let that customer have exclusivity for say, one year, and then after that, ramp up production for the general public? There was another builder who did a take on an old Dan Gurney Indy car wheel that he put on a Mustang. Again, one-off for a customer who can afford it, ( not me). In that case the builder said, don't ask me to make more, because I won't. There's forward thinking. Another example: I asked Year One if they would make more of the 18" Honeycombs they made for Kevin King's Tans Am. Nope. My frustration stems from looking at aftermarket wheels for years for my project car and seeing the same pro-touring style wheels over and over and over again. At this stage I am this close to walking away from the aftermarket wheel scene and going with production steel wheels and designing around that. It would be nice if someone would enter this market with breakthrough, clean, desireable wheels, like the wheels pictured, that anyone can buy, and at a reasonable price. Maybe that's not possible, I don't know. But I believe it just takes a vision and a will. Rant complete.

Haha!! Im sorry to hear that but couldnt help but chuckle. They look bad ass, i totally understand. I think there's another place that has those kinds of wheels. Gotta look later.

Contact Greening Auto Design (SP). They just cut some for a GTO - They looked amazing.

Most companies I've worked with will sell such one off wheels but if they don't feel like they have a good market for them, you'll have to pay a lot of money to get them to build it again. Last billet wheels I was quoted from a one off design was about 10 grand for (4) 18" x 10's.

I agree with your point to build more, though!

Although they are not Identical to the wheels you are looking at try the US Mags U418 Bandit wheel. Very similar. Reasonably Priced, custom sizes. If you want to go with a 1 piece wheel and can use the offset sizes that are common they are very inexpensive.

This has been mentioned in other threads, but yearone and other suppliers stock nice 17" cast aluminum Rally II wheels. I have similar snowflakes for my Trans Am that I bought before the Rally II option existed. I like them.

I know this doesn't help, but lots of times those customers with "one offs" are paying for the design time on these wheels. So the builder may have done the car, but the car owner not the builder may own the CAD work.
