Hey guys, I recently bought a 1985 corvette and absolutely love it. I have been looking around trying to find a forum that has good info on making a c4 pro-touring but all I keep reading is that "you'll take value away from the car" and "its already as pro-touring as it will get". I don't want to make it top of the line PT but would like to upgrade some parts like suspension or brakes. The question is what can I do or what should I replace to make it more than stock PT. I do have a limited budget but can afford reasonably priced parts.
Thanks, andrew

I hope I don't offend, but a 1985 Corvette doesn't carry the value of a C1, C2 or early C3. I would mod away without thinking twice. You could upgrade to C5/C6 stock brakes. As far as suspension mods, I wouldn't even know where to send you, but surely there are people out there AutoX'ing C4 Vettes. There are a few C3's here on the site and a C6 or two. I would probably start with fixing the brakes and anything that is worn out and go from there.

this is what I have.
I don't have a vet, but I have a C4 IRS in my 92 Camaro.

I have always been tempted by the c4's. If you upgrade the engine and brakes and do a Grand Sport theme, you would have a winner.

As a side note does anyone know if the zf 6 speed that comes in these things can be adapted to an LS motor? I would assume it can as its alot like the other t56's.
