Had a issue with the amd installation center called amd and was told that they are in no way affiliated with them and that they do not stand behind anything quoted or done at this shop .just wanted people to know that they lead you on and make you think that they have there own center when in fact they don't so whats next I wonder if they if they do have there own stamps or are those how not affiliated with them I am verry unhappy costumer

What issue did you have with them? You've had a few threads asking about different restoration shops within the last few weeks and now suddenly you have a problem with these guys. I've known Craig for years and he's always been good to do business with.

The fact is that Craig Hopkins is Owner/Founder of C. Hopkins Rod & Custom and AMDInstallation.com. They are not owned by AMD but they work closely with AMD to develop products. If you have an issue with Craig I suspect it is your fault not his.

So, are you trying to say that they quoted you $1002 for a job, but charged you $3750?

I am so confused right now I'm kind of intrigued.

No quoted 3750 then changed to ten thousand and two dollars that was my typo sorry the thing that made me mad was the way amd talked too me i will never use there products I don't trust them one bit and will stick with dynacorn.me and all my friends have used dynacorn with next to no issues and when we did we spoke to with respect

Punctuation would be really useful. Also, I don't understand the point of your post. You got a quote, then the quote was amended, and now you "don't trust them." OK? In you first post you say that you're a "very unhappy customer." How can you be a customer if you haven't done business with them?

What I'm sayin'.......... Besides a quote is just that a quote. It is an estimate, that's why they give them. At least he told you about the charge mistake before the work was done. I think what he did was within reason. At this time you have the option to back out since you've not had any work done. If I'm reading this correctly.

You all missed the point that amd advertises that they install what they sell then they say that they have nothing to do with them so as a potentiol customer I don't believe what they say for example lets say I order a quarter panel and it comes and it is all messed up when I call them are they going to pass the buck and say its on the shipper or just take care of it.i have had problems with dynacorns stuff but was never treated the way I was by amd I believe that people should be treated with respect and I wasn't its ok if all of you love amd and the gentlemen at the installation center that can run a calculator that's fine I expect all the southern boys to stick together . And if you don't like my punctuation that's too bad I'm not typing a report for

I have made mistakes but not the same one three times we went over what I wanted done three times and all three times I was told $3750. That would be like welding a quarter panel on wrong three times you have pretty bad too do that

Sounds like a you problem.

To the bolded......wtf? lol

Right because its about a bunch of good ole boys that go down to the watering hole together working up ways to stick it to dem yankee boys YEE HAW.

I'm sorry I'll side with the guys who have a positive feedback from customers and have been a successful business for years. I have heard nothing but good things from AMD customers.....well except before now.

If you dont trust them. Don't do business with them. But I think there is a big misunderstanding on your part.

I would think that there are very few people on car forums with an english major, but the punctuation just makes it easier for us to read and understand what you are writing.

as you can see, it can happen to everyone. we are only human.

You recieve an updated quote. It now up to you to know your rights as a consumer. You can decline or accept it.

I'm confused what the manufacturers have to do with this. If the supposed bad quote is from a shop, what does Dynacorn and AMD (the manufacturer) have to do with this?

will stick with dynacorn.me and all my friends have used dynacorn with next to no issues and when we did we spoke to with respect

I'm confused too. If you were happy with the parts and service of another vendor, why did you switch?

I'm assuming this is an installation issue? They quoted to install panels and then found something not so good that would require additional labor? These are old cars that hide 40+ years of damage, poorly repaired damaged, and abuse, so I would assume that was an estimate and not a quote.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's Confused! But then I'm just a Yankee that was Transplanted in the South and now I'm surrounded by Water-Hole Jack-wagons Yee Haw!

This is so sad. You got a quote, either go forward or not. No reason to start a post in a forum trying to smear a business because of a math mistake.
