Hey guys I have a 1985 c4 corvette with a stock L98 engine and I love it but where I live I can't really use HP and would love to have some more torque. Don't get me wrong the stock 330 lb ft of torque is great but id love to be pushing upper 300s or even 400. What would I need to buy or change to get more torque if it's even possible to get that much.
Thanks, Andrew

replace it with an LT4 with a few upgrades... or swap in an LS engine of some flavor- even the most gutless LS engine is better in almost every way than a stock L98.

add a pair of smaller turbos and intercooler and a fogger nozzle shot in up pipe w/race gas, look up The Grenade http://www.theturboforums.com/threads/305001-How-long-till-it-grenades-%28-It-never-did!-Go-figure-%29-Grenade-part-2-to-come
POS sbc, worn out with used parts, best the short block ever pushed his GTA 'bird was a 9.37 in 1/4 mi with 3.00 gears. Marty is the man for tuning garbage into FAST.
I do know that one of the T4 twin kits off ebay work ok, And you can swap in better turbos later on but the cheap chinese units seem to be pretty good IF you clean the crap out of them as in flush them completely.
I am building a 283 too run an LT1 FI intake, and GT2871r/GT2876R turbos, neat thing is they can be had oil and water cooled. my plan is 600/600 from a 283.

Without knowing what your budget or skill level is the exhaust will give you a noticable seat of the pants improvement. Start with a set of long tube headers (TPIS or Hookers) a free flow cat (or depending on local laws gut a stock one) and a performance cat back system.
