Hey guys quick question, what do you think would make more power in my pontiac 400 (only thing not stock is edelbrock carb) if I did a cam swap (summit racing has a cam I was looking at) or if I did a new edelbrock intake, headers, and an HEI distributor? Out of those two choices which do you think would make more power? The second choice I can do myself in the garage but I have never done a cam swap before so I might have to end up paying someone if I did..voice your input! Thanks in advance

A cam swap won't do much unless the engine can breathe better- so doing the intake and headers would be necessary. Cam swaps require the intake to be removed.. So it'd be easier to do it all at once- but I'd recommend having someone do that for you if you're uncomfortable.
Do the intake and stuff first rather than going with an aftermarket cam using a stock intake.

Makes sense, thanks Dale. I'll be going down that route and doing the cam swap later down the line

Might want to consider these instead of tubular headers. http://www.ramairrestoration.com/pontiac.html?cat=12
