So.. I have an 09C6Z BCM on the way and already have an 08+ Suspension Controller (SCM), what does the BCM need to simply turn it on besides a 12v switched source? also, possible work arounds if it needs a specific key (uhh.. may not be a good idea to put that in public soo... PM me if thats the case)?
For those who have played with GMLAN, what rig did you use, how did you initially get the system to connect and, lastly, did you communicate and receive messages from the high speed side?
The basic idea at this point is to simply monitor the CAN messages for the suspension on the high speed line.
Any other questions, comments, ideas, etc are welcome even if i havent mentioned them. Thanks guys :)
PS: the rig i will be using is a Raspberry Pi B with Linux, an Embedded Pi board from CooCox (yea, i know.. the name is face palm worthy), and a sparkfun CanBus Shield.

Best bet is to ask the guys over at MP3car.com. I went through hell trying to figure out the LAN system and if it would work for me with the interior I intended to do. After everything I found, I am going with something different. GM LAN is possibly the devil in car form. GOOD LUCK!

i have been using an 'udoo' for my digital dash project. it's similar to the raspberry pi... well 4 of them... and it has an arduino due onboard (which has 2 can bus lines)
may want to take a look at that. there are some can libraries available for the arduino.

the embedded pi with the sparkfun is basically an Arduino setup that can now connect with the Pi :)

oh cool! i didn't read your initial post close enough. it's amazing how fast that industry expands!

uhm... well my advice would be to get one without the f55 option to play around with :)
