How much more does a standard rs front end on a early second gen weight compared to a regular oem one because i have the sheet metal to convert my standard nose camaro to a rs and am now thinking about selling it and going with the carbon fiber piece but want to see if it's actually worth the trouble the car will be auto crossed so weight is a concern to me

Might want to look into fiberglass.... My VFN nose weighs about the same as carbon at a heck of a lot cheaper. Just a option.

Keith smith at Custom Works Performance, http://www.customworksperformance.net/carbon-fiber-parts.html, has a fiberglass version for sale for $459 that is a great fit and weighs much less that the stocker...it doesn't use the stainless insert either.

Thanks for the plug! We make these to order, and usually ship within 2 weeks of order. This time of year it may take a bit longer due to the cold weather
