Alright, while I have my car apart for upgrades, I'm gonna bite and do a mini tub. I know DSE sells a kit, and there is another. I already have Hotchkis 3" lowering leafs for the rear, sway bar, and shocks. Does anyone sell just a kit for doing the mini tub with the tubs, shock adapters, and offset spring mounts? If so, who?
Also, will I need to run a narrowed gas tank, I have seen some yes's and some no's? DSE's site says one of their tanks must be used. So, IDK the actual answer? Will my current hotchkis stuff work with doing a mini tub? Sorry for all the sudden questions. searches have not really yielded me the answers I'm looking for, and our my buddy who does this sorta thing has an opening, so a quick decision has to be made. Thanks for any info and help!!
And for anyone who suggests fabbing everything, its' not an option at the moment. It's more of a timing thing, doing a kit will yield much less man hours than a custom fabbed kit.

I would just give DSE a call. I doubt they would know about whether the Hotchkis parts would work, but I'm sure they could help with the rest.
I seem to remember some discussion about 67 vs 68 whereas the 68's has staggered shock mounting and the 67's do not
What parts are you talking about fabricating? The filler pieces for the mini-tubs?

DSE sells the parts individually. I purchased my tubs from Matt's Classic Bowties for around $325 shipped I think. They are DSE tubs. I have a 67 Camaro, but I used Ridetech's Airbar 4-link suspension. You will need a narrowed tank to fit the offset shackles when running leafs. Seems I recall someone selling offset shackles on ebay fairly cheap.
All of your Hotchkis parts will work with the exception of the rear shackles. You'll have to toss/sell those.

If you're going to use offset shackles in the rear, a stock tank will NOT work. You can modify a stock tank, or buy an aftermarket tank.

yea, I talked with the guy that's going to do the tub for me, he just said order the tubs and the offset shackles, he'd fab the rest. He also said he would have to narrow the stock tank, no biggie. Now, if the NE would quit getting blasted with snow, I could get my car to him!!

If you're going to use offset shackles in the rear, a stock tank will NOT work.
You can run offset shackles on a first gen Camaro WITH a stock fuel tank.
DSE 1 3/4" offset shackles: NO
Mopar 1" offset shackles: YES
With the correct wheel spacing, you can squeeze a 315 in the rear- of course if the car is mini tubbed. Keep in mind the first gen Camaro rear springs are splayed, so moving the rear shackles in 1" will cause you to move the axle spring perches in approximately 0.55" if I remember correctly. Sorry I don't have a better pic, but you will clear the stock tank with the offset shackles pictured below. It is hard to tell from the pic, but there is roughly 1/2" clearance from the shackle bolt to the tank.
Here's a link to the shackles-and they are only $48.00: http://www.americanmuscle.biz/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=35610
