Hello all,

I am working on getting my 67 Camaro ready for the spring time and it has come down to the rear suspension options. My car is basically stock with some bolt on items like MSD EFI on the slightly modified original 327. It has a 4-speed in it currently but will upgrade to a 5-speed hopefully soon. For the front suspension I have Global West tubular upper and lowers and QA1 coilovers ready to be installed. For the rear it has a 12 bolt multileaf springs (supposedly Hotchkis but I cant be sure) with non staggered shocks.

The car is completely restored and near perfect, so i am not sure how much welding I want somebody to do on this car. I am looking for a rear suspension setup that cruises nice along the highway but can handle a few drag strip launches and passes with no wheel hop. As of right now I dont see myself autocrossing at all but you never know. I have run DSE 3" drop leafs on my previous camaro and loved them. I understand this is the easiest and most basic setup but just wanted some other input from PT members.

For brakes I have a 12.19" wilwoods all around and have a set of Bonspeed Crokus X's on order with a set of 275/40/18 tires for the rear.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks, Erik

With what you want, I would just stick with the leaf springs and get some cal-tracs to help with axle wrap.

if you like leafs then stick with them, but your putting coilovers on the front, why not do a four link with coilovers on the rear? I'm only asking because I ran my car with coilovers on the front and leafs on the rear (for a short 2 months) and felt like i was missing something in the cars performance and once I went to coilovers on the rear the car cruised on the freeway smoother and autocrossed better with coilovers and better spring rates and a better looking ride height, just personally what i did
