Finally, its my turn... :attn:

After searching more than a year for the right car, I found it in Pennsylvania on Craigslist. It's a completely rust free A Code from Arizona and has been sitting in a corner of a shop since 2001. It was stripped and the MII front end was installed before the work stopped. After more than 12 years, the guy decided to part with it.....

I scored when I found this..... I drove up from Florida and picked it up. It had all it's parts less the front seats, engine and trans.

The day I pulled it into my driveway....

I work out of the country so before I headed back to work, I dropped it off at the shop to get started.....

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

After tearing it the rest of the way down and getting it on the rotisserie, we still couldn't find any rust!!! So off it went to sandblast... it came back today!!

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif

Looks like he missed a spot under the lip of the dash.

For the engine, I wanted an original 427 Side Oiler but couldn't find one in the 600hp range like I wanted. So during my search, I came across a deal I could not pass up. I picked this up right after Christmas. It's for sale right now as I found the Side Oiler I was looking for a couple days ago.... an original 1966 427 SO that was just finished to ~650hp.... Hope I can work it out, if not I'll have to "settle" with this one @ ~800hp and the 8800 rpm's it'll turn!! Bummer eh!!

My Wheels also Shipped today. True Forged Super Sports, 18 x 12 and 18 x 8. I had them leave em' ready to for power coat as I haven't decided on a color for the car yet.

Seats, what a search that turned in to. I started out wanting Recaro Orthoped or Experts, then I came across a set of classic Recaro Model C's. These seats are from the late 70's thru 80's and were a $6000+ option in Audi's, Porsche and Mercedes. These seats have power adjustable seat back, electric air pump for three lumbar air bags, manual adjustable seat base bolsters, side bolsters, knee support, shoulder and head rest. I will be mounting them on a set of Jag XJ6 - 6 way power base's under both seats.

This is a shot of a set just redone...

Going to be a great build! What has been done to it fit 12" wide rims under it? I mini tubed mine and moved in the rear frame rails and I know I can fit an 18 x 10.5 with a 315/35 but I don't think I have enough room for a 12" wheel.

Hi all,

Not a lot to update.... The shop was working on removing the drip rails when I was there last.

I mocked up the rear end. It'll have 1.5 in of clearance between the tire and fender lip.....

Also spent some time drawing up some ideas for the seat control.... I'm using a set of switches from a BMW. I'll send them in and have them etched along with a new switch panel made.

For the lumbar, the idea is to have the button run the pump, the other button will let air out or the section selected by the rotary switch...

The seat warmer needs to be either a toggle or rotary switch which I like best.

Take a look, I'd like to hear some ideas and opinions.

Option 1 -

A little progress, the drip rails are gone and stated on the fire wall. I finally decided on the pedal set up so the rest of the fire wall can be smoothed as there won't be a booster, master cylinder or clutch linkage hanging off it!!!

18 x 8 with a 5" BS, 225/45 and rolled lips. We shouldn't have to flare anything. I might have been able to go with a 245/40 but it would have been real tight.

Unfortunately, that pedal box wouldn't work. I need a couple more inches to make them work but didn't want to cut into the sub frame. So, I'll use this overhung set.

Finally got around to getting a rendering done. Tavis Highlander hooked me up.... great guy and easy to work with. I didn't want anything real "Loud" sort-a-speak so this is what we ended up with. I'm very pleased with the out come!

The color will be as close to Ferrari's Grigio Ferro as we can get it. The wheels will be anthracite centers with gloss black lips.

I wanted to do something different with the front marker/turn signals so we're going to try LED's in the lip of the splitter.

Hey Guys,

Nothing to update in the last year... working in the Gas and Oil industry, gas prices set the tone for all our projects... I spent the last year on LOA from my company and working locally. The good news is, I hadn't lived in my house with my wife in twelve years... so for the last year, we got to get to know each other again...
