Hello everyone,
I just joined the forums today as I'll will be searching for suspension, wheel, and tire information for my 65 GTO. It's a car that my father and I built together and now that he bequeathed it to me I would like to change a few things. Since I am into more modern cars I would like to at least give it a modern wheel and tire with a nice low stance and that's really about it.

for rear suspension, theirs about 3 pro-tour styles now

theirs the spherical ends like UMI Performance(roto-Joints) Currie(Johnny-joints) and Spohn(Del-Spheres)
2nd style is DSE Swivel-link and Speedtechs Articulinks (Arm twists)
3rd is Hotchkis (upper only) Swivel Max Bushing

another product to look into would be the
currie upper ear johnny-joint bushing kit or UMI Rotor joint upper ear bushing kit)
These will further help rear suspension to articulate and not bind
Not sure how'll they'll work with the swivel arm or swivel bushing arms

IF you already bought rear control arms that are rubber/poly bushing def get the currie or UMI upper eat joiny joint/Roto joiunt bushing kit)

My Top 3 choices for front control arms
SPC upper/lowers, most versatile in adjustments
UMI New adjustable arms
Ridetechs Strong arms

or are you talking suspension as in Just springs/shocks coil-overs, air ride?

I need nothing in the way of performance but want safety and low. It's just going to be a loud and low cruiser. I'm just new to anything classic. I have a track car already but I'm used to brembo's and coilovers for our cars. What is the ball park for lowering an A-body such as this? If I could get her down 4-6 inches I would be happy.... No actually I want this...

Welcome to the Site Mike!

I'm working on a Quote for a 67 GTO right now that is similar in Goals to yours. I'll be more to discuss what we can do for you.
