I sold 3 of my cars last year to buy a new corvette g/s and love it, I don't even miss my pt 72 Camaro/69 t/a vert and ffr cobra.
Now I want to own my last dream car , a c2 vette.
The only way to do it is sell or trade my pro street 55 chevy. problem is I owned it since I was 10 (now 40) so its going to be a tough decision.
The 55 has a blown 468 making around 800 hp with another 100-300 hp on te un used no2 system.

I built it so I can swap it to pro touring with a wheel swap and blower removal and swap on the stock hood.
its mini tubed, 6 pt cage, all tube arms, qa1 shocks, 4 whhel disc . I have around $60-$100 k into it over the years so if I trade the vettes got to be worth it.

I love the car, it very streetable now that it has overdrive, ran mid 10s on hard street tires with little traction, no tuning or testing and still have the n02 so its a possible low 9 sec car that can be driven anywhere.
I am not looking for a stock c2 , I would love something with a wide body kit, aftermarket frame.
I still can not decide if I want a coupe or vert, Im thinking coupe so I can add a split window, paints not important because its what I do and want it my own custom color.
I am having a hard time deciding on this.. I do not use the 55 much because the c6 g/s and my ls1 69 vert are much more fun to drive unless I want to do a 100 mph rolling burnout or turn more heads.
Opinions ? have a 63-67 corvette and always wanted a 55 chevy?

I'll be the first to say that I think your an idiot for even thinking about getting rid of that 55 for a vette.
No way!

That 55' looks like a beast. If anything id rebuild it into a pt car. Couldn't trade that.

???????????????????

The 55 looks like an awesome car. It would be a shame to get rid of it...only to get a car you don't know...it's a gamble. But if you're done with the car and really want a C2, then it's the right time. Just make sure you're "really" ready and you won't regret it later.

After about a month you will regret it everyday..... for the rest of your life. You've had it since you were 10!!?? Why would you even consider selling that car?? Stick some good brakes, wheels and tires on it. Try out some chassis bolt ons and drive the wheels off it. If you have to make huge power with a stock hood sell the roots blower and buy a procharger. IMO a sweet 55' Chevy trumps any 'vette ever except maybe....maybe a 67' 427/435hp 4spd car.

Thanks guys, like I said its a hard decision, it would have to be the right vette.
I have my 13 grand sport and my pt 69 Camaro vert to drive the wheels off.
If anything I will drag race it more after I move closer to a track in fl.
I will make it faster with efi and boost juice after I get it to hook.
It was my keeper car but my 69 has a better story, my dad bought it at a used car dealer in 73 when I was born, then my mom drove it daily until from 77- 82 they sold it ,I found it in 97 made my dad buy it and I restored it and we drove it /showed it until 5 years ago it sat in the corner of the shop because it sucked to drive compared to my other cars. last year I took it from him and gave it a complete re-do pt style ls1/4l60e , suspension, c5 brakes, the works but kept it looking like the same car. that's a keeper.
