This one is not going to be as much Pro-touring but more Resto-mod. The owner and his wife bought the car brand new in 76 and then got married. So the car has more semimetal value then anything. Ok more about the car, 76 Camaro LT 350ci, turbo 350 automatic, white hound’s-tooth interior 8.5 posi rear and A/C. The 350 engine will get rebuilt and get a RV cam, the stock A/C will be replaced with Vintage Air. Now for some pictures. O yea and the Car is really rusty.

As it was dropped off.

Rust ? For a car that is almost 40 yrs old it doesn't look that bad. Up here in New England with all the crap they pour on the roads we would call that a "slight patina".

WOW!
I think I'm experiencing a '70s flashback.
I will definitely be watching this build.

The front doors are so rusted I stopped blasting them. So It look like a pretty big list ahead. Only thing so far were keeping is the Hood, one front fender that needs a lower patch, one Inner fender and the stock spoiler.

Honestly, even after seeing it after blasting - still looks like a better start than a lot of rust buckets I've seen in the Ohio/PA area.

I must be getting spooled on better cars, I pulled the roof skin off today and cut out the rust that was letting water in the car. Next we fit the new roof skin from Goodmark but being the roof is really for 70-73 Camaros I had to rework the back. The front just needed some pie cuts too.

If I get some time this weekend I'll make a post over there.

I was able to get the roof skin put on today. We first started by putting new sound deadening on the bottom side of the skin and then placed new panel adhesive like the factory did on the car.

got the quarters cut off and part of the trunk pan out. I didn't want to do the hole trunk pan because the rust was mostly located around the rear bumper brace. My tail pan is also in good shape so I didn't want to cut it loose. The car had been hit on the drivers rear so with damage on the trunk drop off panel I took it out too (had rust too).

Still working on the Camaro. I had to get another project in the shop in primer so it took some time away from the Camaro. I'll make a build thread on this one later but for now a little peak! O and it put 303hp at the rear wheels on just 6 psi

Been awhile I know but with car shows and other projects it just hard to get on here. We have the bottom of the car done and sitting on the sub frame.

The core support for this car was in such bad shape I decided to take a chance on a NEW Camaro Central core support for the 78-81. Just so others know it only takes removing the two side extensions to make it work for the 74-77. There are just a couple of holes extra and the middle cross brace that needs to be removed. So now you guys have a core support too. Here are some pictures too look at.

Wow been a while since the last post but we have just been slammed with other projects in the shop but here are some updates.

Most of our time has gone into getting the new sheet metal to fit and getting all the gaps right. Only panels that were still stock were the hood and one front fender & Inner fender so lots of gaps had to get fixed.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2015/02/100_9779_zpsb6d35ddd-1.jpg (http://s223.photobucket.com/user/rawrods/media/76%20camaro/100_9779_zpsb6d35ddd.jpg.html)

You can see the passenger side fits pretty good but the drivers has about 1/4 gap we need to fix.

I have a Quincy 5hp 80gal that Ive had for 11 years now with no problems at all. My blaster is a Empire Econo-blaster. I can run 45min with a 100lb in the tank if set just right. This size blaster is about all the compressor can handle.

Added Vintage Air. I had to modify one of the brackets to work with the long tube headers.

Looks great. Make the paint and interior cloth firethorn red and you'd have my first car! Even the half top.
