Hey there, Im sure there are loads of posts by now of this topic, but I havent found answers to everything I'm looking for, so I will ask. I'm new here and just got my 68 camaro imported to Norway so Im using the winter to get her up and running.
Im looking for a decent wheel company to buy me some sweet looking wheels, I was hoping to get some guidance from the more experienced in here. The camaro is pretty stock, it has 235/55/15 in the front and rear now, so Im planning on running 17x8 with 225 or 235/40 in the front and 17x10 with 275/40 in the rear. Would a offset of 5" be enough here or what do you guys think?

Also, the suspension is way to soft in the front so whenever I hit a bump it makes an uncomfortable sound in the front, I'm guessing the wheel is touching something up there, so I was wondering if attaching some stiff shocks in the front would solve that problem? and if im installing it in the front should I also be doing it in the rear? as I have none in the rear now.

in stock form I used on the rear a 9.5 rim with 5.5 backspace, and the front is 4.5 backspace on a 8 inch rim you can get a 255 front tire on a stock car as long as its not too low

Ahh I see, I also noticed that the tire is rubbing against the frame when fully turned either side because there were paint missing on it, might be the backspacing is wrong on the wheels that is currently on it?
I got some space in the rear to fit stuff but in the front its pretty low, so to fit a 17 rim I would have to go down on the tire profile.
