Who has used the older style holley oil pan on an first gen? What motor mounts did you use? Did you have to notch the cross member?

I have the older style Holley pan with DSE 060401 engine mounts and stands and had to notch my stock subframe approx 5/8" deep. With the engine installed the notch is not visible. I have about 3/8" clearance now.

Yeah my sub frame is already powder coated or I would just notch it.

I am using the older design pan and didn't have to notch with the SwapTech adapter plates and Energy Suspension SBC mounts and frame stands.

Used SBC frame mounts with Speed and Performance plates. We placed a 3/16 spacer plate under the frame mounts and used the backing plate on the Energy Suspension motor mounts. We had to machine off dimple on the backing plate so it did not interfere with S&P plate on the motor.

Cwylie: what trans are you running? I am using a T56 and raising the engine would have increased my u joint angle at the trans yoke. I have a 3* angle at the trans and diff yoke, this is with a 1.5" Hotchkis rear leafs and 1" blocks for a total of 2.5".
