Has anyone put a lower valance panel off a '69 Camaro on a '68 Camaro? I thought it would look pretty good to use the '69 and where the parking lights on the '69 were, put fog/driving lights. Then use the '68 parking lights as were stock. Just a thought.

Yes there's been a couple of similar ideas done on here. Specifically the 69 lights

Like others said . . . The 69 lights in a 68 lower valance have been done several times. Anvil / Muscle Rodz sell a bolt-in piece that can be ordered in carbon fiber or fiberglass. Or do what I had done and have the lights cut out of the 69 and incorporated into the 68 piece. Mine is all metal.

Here's my version. All steel with smoothed seams and a turn signal delete billet grill. Hard to tell from the pic but the headlights have LED turn signals at the bottom.

Yes I just bought a 69 lower valence to put on my 67. Going to cut out the lights and fit them in the holes, trying to determine how far to space them now.

Exactly what I'm looking for. Although, I want to still use the front bumper. I noticed that all your seams have been filled. A "one piece" front cap? I like the looks of this! Where did you get your head lamps? What valance did you start with? the '68 has two big holes in it, or did you fill them?

Valance is stock just filled in and pockets added for universal lights. Yes, all seams are filled/smoothed. I can't take credit as I bought the car as an incomplete project. I like the look but will certainly be interesting if involved in even a "light" front end hit.
Here's a link for the lights. Only thing I don't like is the lenses are plastic, but they're cheap enough that replacing them every couple of years shouldn't be an issue.

No wiring in the car but here's a pic with the turn signals lit up with two 9 volt batteries.

Looks good Scott! I have the LED driving lights from Fesler that have the turn signals built in. Also running a turn signal delete billet grille. Deleted the bumper and welded up the bracket gap. Welded the lower fender extensions to the fenders to eliminate that seems as well. Makes for a clean look.

Thanks! It's definitely a 10 footer right now. I'm having a hard time getting the headlight surrounds to fit right. I've tried two sets and they both suck. I wonder if some of the dimensions changed with all the welding or ??

I purchased the prefabbed one from musclerodz. I think anvil actually makes it though, could be wrong. Either way I bought the fiberglass one and it's awesome. Actually just re wired my light switch so the lower valance lights stay on while the headlights are on also.

In the last of your 3 pics, what kind of grill and headlight covers are those? Where can I find them?

I actually made the grille myself. I ordered the materially from some website them just bent and cut to fit. Took about one day to get it all in. I actually just installed the same grille in the lower portion to close it out since I also built a cable activated hood latch assembly.

I picked a decent 69 valence, and plan to cut and alpine it into my 68
For the same reason every one else does it , it looks really good when done correctly .
