I bought this 1978 Trans Am from Sun Pontiac in Mesa, AZ on July 7, 1978. Recently out of storage since 2000. Back in 2000 the engine was rebuilt with 1970 #13 heads, Ultradyne 280/288 cam, all new parts, ARP, Comp, etc. Original block, crank and rods, numbers match TH350, still have original 6X heads, intake, and many other original parts. Cylinder #3 has zero compression, my guess is detonation from too much compression, pump gas and cast pistons instead of forged, that was a mistake. Parked at that time. Tons of documentation, no rust other than mild, desert surface rust in a few places, always an AZ car. Original WS6 car, original Pontiac 400, not an Olds 403. HO Racing, Guldstrand and Herb Adams VSE parts from back in the day. Original window sticker, build sheet from under rear seat, EPA mileage sticker from window, original sales contract, etc. I know every single thing about this car from day one, documentation to prove it.
