I'm looking for someone that my have pics of Ridetech rear coilovers installed to a Moser rear? Because Moser has a different LCA bracket than stock, Ridetech has a different set of brackets for factory and Moser rear. I'm curious to see them installed.

Are the lower control arm brackets "lowered" like a stock housing would be with the UMI brackets? I was wondering this since I have a moser 9" in my gto and I noticed that ridetech asks if you have a moser housing specifically when you order.

Not familiar with the way the UMI brackets look. The Ridetech brackets for the Moser rear have 3 mounting points for the LCA brackets. 1 mounts where the shock would go. The lower hole of the second two gets the LCA bolt, the upper is supposed to be drilled in the LCA bracket. Just wondering how much clearance there is for the upper bolt.

I see you have the Currie LCA which are bigger than the UMI boxed arms I have.

Here are the Moser brackets

Thanks Josh, but I have a Moser rear.

here's a crappy cell phone pic of our 66 (with Shockwaves) which uses a Moser rear.
It's the best I could get crawling under it and not putting it on a lift.
The upper bolt looks close to the control arm bushing, but it clears fine, just an odd angle.

Britt,

Would they be ok without the top hole mounted? I'm not using Ridetech lowers, so I don't have as much room. I'm using boxed LCA from UMI.

I would not run it without the top hole secured. It's there to keep the bracket from twisting under the force of the coil over.

You might have to modify the bracket to move the hole up to clear your control arms.
Or, you could get a set of ours that will bolt right in (nudge, nudge, wink, wink!)

That would be nice if mine weren't brand new. I guess I will have to elongate the upper hole because there is not enough room to drill another

So just to clarify.....what exactly is the difference between the stock housing and the moser housing in relation to your coilovers or shocks? I guess im still a bit confused.

I was referring to the UMI lower control arm lowering brackets. I figured it was a travel issue with the coilover if the shock mounting point was lower or something.

With my currie arms I would probably just have to run a low profile bolt head like a button head machinist bolt and install it with the thread going out.

I don't have UMI control arm lowereing brackets, I never mentioned those. The brackets I was referring to are the ones pictured above that Ridetech sends with the kit for Moser rear ends. The ones in the picture Josh posted are for a stock rear end. The difference in the 2 is the Moser shock and lower control arm mount to the same bracket and the mount to different points on a factory housing.

You are definitely right though, I could probably use a button head screw and bolt from the inside out.
