Hello. My name is Tom and I currently reside in North San Diego, CA (recently relocated from Denver CO). I've been lurking a while and decided to join. What a great site! Looking forward to seeing more. I'm not sure it is completely on topic but I've attached a couple of photos of my recently "completed" 63 Falcon 60s short-track tribute car. Thanks!

Welcome Tom. Cool Falcon. A group of us will be at Qualcomm Autocrossing Sun Jan 26th if you want to come out!

Hey Tom. Welcome to the forum and to SoCal. I'm not too far up the 15 from you in Riverside.
The Falcon owners sure are starting to make a presence on this forum lately.
Plans on getting your Falcon out to any local events just yet?

Thanks Munssey. I made the last Cruzin' Grande of 2013 last fall and have been showing up at Carlsbad Cars every few weeks. I haven't really taken the car out and thrashed it to see what it can (or can't) do. I have never autocrossed or run on an open track before but would like to try/learn. I enjoyed your build thread. There's a lot of excellent work in your car. You can find my build thread here if you are interested: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=781356

That sounds like fun. I would like to come and watch - I have no experience autocrossing myself.

Absolutely, our new Classic American Muscle class runs after lunch so we should be there between 11 and 4.

Thanks Munssey. I was able to make the last 2013 Cruzin Grand last fall and have been attending Carlsbad Cars every few weeks. I haven't been able to stretch it's legs yet though. I enjoyed your build thread. A lot of very nice work there. I tried to post a link to mine but it didn't go through. I'll try it again in my sig line.

Nash 510- Way friggin' cool. Can I ask what kind of pan clearance you achieve?

Thanks. Ground clearance is approx. 5 inches at the front cross member. I set the engine so it would be no lower than that cross member. The entire frame was designed such that all suspension mounting points are 3 inches higher in relation to the body resulting in a 3 inch drop (an additional 3 inch drop was achieved via the suspension). The resulting loss in engine compartment "depth" required me to raise the center of the hood a couple of inches.

You got an audible "wow" from me when I saw the pictures, beautiful Falcon you have there. Are you planning to attend the Del Mar Goodguys in April? I would love to see it our there!

Thanks Angelo. Here is a shot of what I started with and a few that were taken a week or so ago at the JBA Speed Shop monthly cruise (sorry, still trying to figure out the thumbnail thing).

Hey Tom!
Didn't realize you joined up here after I pointed you to my build thread..... I found Tom's build thread on anotherlopy website and wrote him about his car because I really dug it and he was local to me.... and had already stuffed a Coyote in his car... We metup a while ago and I got to see this car and it is really cool and a super original build.
