Anyone have a pic of a Chevelle with C5 wheels on it? I need to buy wheels to continue with my brakes project, but I havent found anything that I like enough to spend 2-3k on ...yet. So, my dad has a the take-offs off of his 2000 C5 that have 2 miles on them, and I think I could get from him pretty cheap (read: get them out of my way). Seems like adapters would be around $300 so I could have new tires and wheels for $300, but how would they look? I like the design, and they would show off my brakes, but the outboard profile is so flat that Im not sure they would look good in the rear. Any pics of a similar setup? Thanks, Scott.

I haven't ever seen C5's on a chevelle.......I don't care much for vette wheels on early iron! Not enough back space on the rear wheels for my taste! :ssst:

I saw a photo recently of a Chevelle with later Corvette wheels (but I can't find it now). Believe it was a 71 or 72. Didn't look half bad.

I had seen his sig pic before but hadn't realized that those were similar wheels. That mockup looks really really good, I almost think it would be worth trying it out.

Kind or reminds me of an all wheel drive porsche where the hub is flush with the rim's lip. Looks good with the buldging rear quarters... to me atleast.

Not the exact same as you are talking about, but I have Z06 rims on my Chevelle.

Hey RJ did you have to run spacers in the front too? Your stats said you have coilovers in the front, so Im guessing b-body spindles and longer upper a arms too? Any interference? Would you have gone with more spacer in the back if you could? Thanks, its gonna be tough!

I have 2.125" adapter in the rear and 2" adapter in the front. Yes, you are correct I have a B-body spindle and Hotchkis A-arms in the front. The rears JUST fit in the wheel well. And the fronts are close to hitting the Hotchkis A-arm. But both clear.

Now after saying all of that, my Z06 rims are 1" wider than the STD C5 Vette rims. So, you will have to measure yours to be sure all is good.

I want to put The C-5 corvette wheels on my 66' nova. I have not decided between the Z-06 or the Y2K, probably in siver/gunmetal. I have to run these offset wheels on the front because of the wayne due front clip. There was a picture in the back of PHR recently of a nova with Y2K's in the Q&A section. I would love to see some more pics.

Thanks! :icon996:

Didn't Keith (Zefhix) end up with different wheels, or am I crazy?

Kris

I think they are still C5 replica wheels if I remember from his site but they are painted top match the car. I just chose this pic to show them off on the car.
