View Full Version : 67-68 Firebird billet tail lights
Any firebird guys running these? I didn't even know they made them until a few months ago but haven't seen any pics installed. I'm not crazy about the stock tail light housings and think the solid red lens looks much cleaner, would just have to do some remote reverse lights. Of course like everything else I want for my car they aren't cheap...

They come with reverse lights too. If you had to install a separate set of backup lights it would seem to negate the idea of cleaning up the rear. That didn't come out right but you get the idea. In that sense it seems like billet for the sake of billet. Not that the real reverse lights can be seen. If its already on the road go for it.
I was thinking about hiding the reverse lamps maybe underneath the car or something, wouldn't want to cut the tail panel and install them in there. I like the look of not having the reverse light in the taillight lens, looks cleaner. It's not on the road yet but hopefully within the next 6 months or so.

I like those and had ordered a set from a vender with some other parts I ordered. For whatever reason that vender quit working with Fesler so my order was canceled. I'll get some later when I'm done with paint

Just a suggestion, If your're gonna spend the money on tail lights, check out the digi-tails link on the bottom rh cornor here. their sequential layout is pretty cool & they offer a few manufacturers billet versions.

I contacted my dealer who ALSO stopped boing business with Fesler. They told me I could order direct. I called Fesler to confirm pricing, finish and leadtime. $440 for black and three weeks turnaround. I call back two weeks later to place the order and the cluckers at Fesler tell me that they haven't made them for over a year and they had somehow forgotten to take them off their web site and apologized for the who mislead employee me. I know its hot in AZ but wow. It kind of shed light on why folks aren't doing business with these guys. Being a parts manufacture and a car building outfit rarely works out for the best.
With that said, does ANYONE know where a guy could pick up a set of billet tail lights for a first gen firebird?
