I just purchased a 1980 Trans Am Pace Car. This is my first muscle car. Two owners ago, they swapped the stock 301 for a 455 v8. Engine is strong.
I am looking to keep as much as original (or at least keep the parts) but want to set it up to have a stance like the restoreamuscle car white 80 t/a. the interior is in great shape, just needs a little love. They removed the heater blower and factory A/C. Any help (links, company's, do's and dont's) would be GREATLY appreciated.
Here is what I plan:

rear gears
new disc brakes
Wheels & Tires (18" or 19" with a lower stance) what are max sizes front and rear with a 1-1.5" space between fender well?

Upper and Lower control arms (tubular)
front coilovers
rear 4 link suspension w/ coilovers
700r4 transmission

Interior:
replace heater blower and a/c
replace the seat cushions (covers are awesome)
replace broken bits
(remove interior and and sound proof

Thanks.
Bought it last friday in NY. Drove it home 200mi. Originally was an Arizona car. Great shape.

I would contact restore a muscle car- they are very helpful and their service is great. I have bought their 17" honeycombs for my GTO and 17" snowflakes for my wife's TA. Also used them for AC components and decals.
