Hello! I wanted to share my next project and get some ideas! Car was supposed to be a original 409 car but it wasnt confirmed so the prior owner put a 496 in it. I bought it as a roller with a Super t-10 4 speed. Car is going to get a 2007 6.0 with a cam mild port work and either a 4L60E or a 4L80E. It needs to be lowered for sure and of course air conditioning! Give me some ideas!

Nice car, I'm building a 61 Bel Air. Lowered via air ride, budnik wheels and LS2. Check it out under projects on ls1tech. Search 61 BelAir, pm with any questions. Looking forward to watching this one.

Looking forward to this build. How far are you going to change it?

Thanks for the comments, as far as changes go, I am going to lower it and LS it! Going to get some bigger wheels. Not a whole lot needs to be done, it already has some really nice upgrades like a Moser 9 inch, 3:55 Center section, boxed control arms with Hotchkis upper arm, Wilwood disc brakes on the rear , Billet bearing driveshaft some other stuff too! I got this car as part of a trade and I am not sure if I will keep it or not but we are gonna make it look, sound and handle bad ass!

Air ride or coil overs???? Need to decide soon. Not sure what I want to put on it though. Opinions?

Looks like a nice clean car to start with.

I'd like to hear opinions on this as well. I've thought about going with coil overs when I get to working on my 64 but haven't studied it much yet. It'd be great to see pics of ride height on a coil over setup.

Nice ride bro. Air ride for sure. Thse cars are pretty heavy, coil overs are probably going to wear out pretty fast. Check out my brothers 63 impala. Looking forward to your build. Subscribed....
