Saw Gas Monkeys install Ridetech front and rear suspension w/coilovers on TV. Rear was a 4-link. Anyone done this? How does it compare to the Unobtanium Hotchkis or the "to die for" Detroit Speed suspension?

Do a search on "48 Hour Camaro". It is equipped with a complete RideTech suspension front and rear and the car has been driven in direct competition with Hotchkis, DSE and others.

Ridetech front and rear suspension w/coilovers on my car, best setup I have driven, the only car that i have driven that was better was a independent rear suspension track Vette

There are many examples of this setup on the site. Probably moreso in first gen cars. I have the rear setup for mine and their coilovers for all four corners. My project is moving pretty slow though.

The Ride-Tech kit is very simplistic, lots of folks like it.

Search up Albert Melchior's 2nd gen Firebirds....most of his cars are Ridetech, from memory.

I drove the 48 hour Camaro at Del Mar last year, it handled great.

it looks to me that the ridetech upper control arms have cast-iron cross shafts and poly bushings.
Doesn't look like the quality is as good compared to other manufacterers offerings.

I vouch for RideTech - my car hangs with some of the top dollar builds with their setup and HQ coil overs. I am VERY pleased and am glad I chose their products!

the arms have a cast center, and there machine to exact tolerances for castor slugs, there made with a stop also to keep the arm from moving forward and backwards on the shaft like some arms here's a pic of the new arms. hope that helps

The cross shaft is actually forged steel. The bushings are injection molded Delrin. Self lubricating material, no grease needed.

I have TruTurn on my Buick Grand National. How do I get the other caster slugs if I decide to experiment with them?

Just call up Ridetech and order them. They just sent me the offset slugs for basically the cost of shipping.

to clarify...

The images above are Gen 1 arms that started shipping in that configuration this summer. The Gen 2 arms with the caster slug / delrin configuration will start shipping around Feb. 1. Also...the cross shafts will be machined billet steel. We did forged cross shafts on the Gen 1 because of the high quantities.
Hate to make you wait but didn't want you to be disappointed. You're welcome to get on the list for the first batch.

Rod...thanks for posting up those great pics of your arms...we should have you do photography for our catalog!

Chevelle arms are already Delrin bushings and caster slug cross shafts.

Talked to Darrin at RideTech and ordered the new control arms for my '79 t/a. Hope to have them sometime next month.
Also have plans to go with coil over shock kit too.

I utilize the Ride Tech 4 link almost exclusively on my Second Gens and have been extremely happy with the product... Bret's parts and staff are
are absolutely great... If they haven't won any awards within the Industry for Customer Service,,, I'd be completely shocked as they darn near
the perfect role model in my experiences... In the end it's all personal preferences and relationships built,, and there are some other really great
companies out there too, however Ride Tech is certainly always one of the top choices for us.

I have the Ridetech coilovers on my 66 GTO and the difference between that setup and the QA1 and Speedtech was pretty substantial. Ride quality on the Ridetech stuff was the biggest improvement. A few observations:

We ended up with a pretty good stack of shims to get the camber and caster set right. surprised to see that they are not using a similar setup to the SPC deal.
There is no lower bump stop on the LCA. That makes me a little worried. Not sure why, but it does.
Hardware was grade 5 and not grade 8
The spindles are longer than stock and I had to grind out some of the Wilwood dustcap to keep the cap from hitting the end of the spindle
The factory steering arm (that connects to the spindle) was hitting the LCA and causing a poor turning radius. I had to grind out a fair amount of the arm to give a reasonable turning radius. No big deal really.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the setup. Looking at adding the rear coilovers to see how a complete solution will make the car ride and handle
