He is talking about efi in a carb look alike from fast or holley . I was thinking about buying 2 for my blown big block but for the price I do not know if its worth it. They seem like throttle body efi systems on old chevy trucks.
Like to hear how they really are over a carb.

He is referring to a TBI (Throttle Body Injection) unit which typically looks similar to a carburator and generally bolts on an intake manifold in place of the carb. I would recommed that the OP read the threads on the Fuel Injection section. Lots of good information and product reviews. The current generation of TBI are much easier to install and program than in the past.

Unless you are making more than 600hp it is the Holley Terminator, hands down. The ECU is identical to their HP EFI unit and is laptop programmable, a necessity for fine tuning for best performance. I've got 4K miles on mine and it is running perfectly.

The Holley HP retrofit kit comes with everything you would need for a start. You would then need to get some injectors and have the supplied bungs welded to an intake. Bernard Mondello sells the Pro Comp intake that would probably work for that.
