I purchased this 65 falcon back in the summer, I didn't care for the 390 fe jammed into the bay.... so to craigslist it went, along with drag seats and more.

The first part of this thread will be a show and tell of things done wrong and to be honest ...dangerous.

wiring...omg the wiring...I was told "its good"
Fuel pump...naa ...one bolt is all good.
Fire wall, the gas axe works good for fine finishing.

I wish you all the best, it's tough fixing someone else's mess sometimes....I think it was more like "Canadian Tire Money" than "Low Buck"......

so the finds are interesting, very consistent, previous owner dynmats the floor without all floor repairs done...who doesn't enjoy a nice interior camp fire ....

He drove this car....
1)shocks!!!!....who needs them.
2)no spacer bushing for front shock to a arm....overrated !!!!
3)roll bar to short....why not use your wifes stiletto and duct tape...less work.

Looks like fun! And looks like you might as well start from scratch too. Chop those floors out and build a frame. :P

Well that sounds legit. Are you going to stain it a nice color?

don't forget to get a quality sealer. :)

When I bought my '65 dr sedan, the kid has used actual mud in the rear quarters. It came with a new transmission that he put in a few months earlier. Apparently this one didn't need ATF because when I got it home and checked the levels because it was slipping like crazy, it was BONE dry. Although I feel your pain, this is on a totally crazy level!

Haha....sikkens only...I have a lot of pics to go, again I'm not bitter just baffled...who runs a solid motor mount (2 bolts)and a rubber (1 bolt) on opposite sides?is this some kind of radicle race setup....the exhaust not only directs gases it also helps mend the carpet to the floor using high heat, don't throw away your old ikea book shelf I can mount a air compressor to that and sit it in the trunk, gravity will do the rest....

86527865281)Do's and dont's of aluminum fuel cell mounting, tabs are for locating purposes only
2)use more wire in dirty areas
3)don't tighten bolts as they are to hard to remove later

So..... did you know this thing was a disaster before you purchased the car - or is this a new surprise every day kind of thing?

I could see something's and others were hiding in the grass(low car) I won't lie, I did think there was more ability put in, I was wrong, the previous owner was a nice enough guy but he should stick to whatever makes him money , restoring cars ain't it, sooo yes, I seen a lot of it but didn't care

It's a really cool car, and not very common. I'm going to be following along for sure.

Well mr poopy... May I call u poopy ... Poopy, anyways ,it has been started, still in the strip down phase ...I call it " shock n' awww".As many know I'm a professional short course off road racer and that takes up a considerable amount of my time. I hope to have drive line and frame work done by spring.
