I had a Camaro flex fan break in tuning and go into my chest and almost kill me for one.
Its cheap now to pick up a aluminum rad that bolts in and a aftermarket or junkyard fan with a aftermarket harness.
It will not rob any HP and will run cooler.

i have pair of fans on my 94 x-cab gmc from a 97 z28, i only have one fan running on a ground switch, i bought a 160 degree ground switch that screws in the side of the head on the pass side and also used a 4 prong relay, my truck with the stock new radiator runs 120-130 all the time, very seldon gets over 130 even sitting in traffic, i am with chevnut,,,,the stock and aluminum fans suck and if your not carefull you could be missing a limb from one of those things, i havent had a stock fan on a car or truck in 20 years !! always been electric

flex fans are junk. that is why they come with cool stickers:

the other note is if you go stock style clutch fan, you need one that works with the reverse rotation water pump in that serp kit. Like off a truck or caprice. and you'll need a rad shroud. a factory f-body fan will not work.

IMO electric fans...
