Well the Madness has begun!

Here at BMR Suspension, we have started work on a 1968 Pontiac GTO Convertable that will be a Rolling Testiment to BMR Products and the determination of the people involved in it's Build.

The 1968 GTO was the 2nd Generation of the Gran Turismo Omologato. It was Motor Trend's Car of the Year, was the 1st Year of the Endura Bumpers and the 2nd Vehicle produced with Hidden Windshield Wipers. Radial Tires were 1st introduced on the '68 GTO, but problems at BF Goodrich limited the Cars equiped with them to a very few and Radials would not re-appear on a GTO until 1974. There were 9,980 Convertables produced out of a Total production of 87,684 GTO's

Our GTO was purchased by the President of BMR, Rockin' Al Miller in 1984 with a 350hp 400CI and Automatic. However, Midwestern Weather took it's on the Car, but Al was determined to Bring it Back to Life. Now is that Time!

Not sure who will be tackling the Interior ( I haven't told the Boss that I used to do some Int work, otherwise I'll be like the Dragon Lady on Fast n Loud!)

Yeah, it was real rough. Us guys had a Nickname for the Car that the Owner Hated so I can't share as he peers in here every once in a while. The car was BMR Owner's Car when he was in College, so that is why we used this Car. It's definately getting Attention. Ballpark to get the Body done is 8 Weeks from now.

Well we know it's a Convertible (but it is the Owner's car). All the Items we use won't be out of the Catalog as we are fortunate that we have some Great Fabricators working here. Who knows, there might be some New Product Offerings that come out of the Project!

Yes, we have some New Parts for A-Bodies in 2014. 2013 was a Transition Year for us as we were moving to a New Facility. Sales, Welding, Warehousing & Shipping were all moved over during parts of '13. Assembly & PowderCoat have now moved over to the New Building. A Few wrinkles to Iron-Out, but this now allow us to work on New Products for existing Platforms as well as the New Cars ( 2014 Mustang, Chevy SS, etc)
