Is it just me or do the google adds pop up on different locations in the forums? I understand advertising but these google adds are (to me at least) very annoying/disturbing :-(
In other forums I visit you only get that when you are not logged in...

The new ads are experimental and we are just testing the waters with them in terms of website experience, placements, and revenue. Things may change in a couple of weeks.

I second that they're annoying but also understand advertising.....I'd say ditch them

Way too many. This will drive members to the other site in my opinion....

Hate it. Revenue good, ads between post bad.

Back button doesn't work anymore either. Does anyone actually test this stuff before it is released?

I agree, way to many adds, and with non car related ads like Verizon it will take away exposure to the car related sponsors.
I don't think it's a good mix.. Looking at this page now, their are 3 ad's and only 7 posts.. Way to extreme..

Not sure what just happened but while typing in another thread it closed the thread and sent me to a site for mitsubishi..

OK, I'm done here. Useless site without a back button. Complete cluster. Hope you can get it fixed.

Yep, this test session is a FAIL.
I rather pay to be a member than deal with this crap.

I just need a little more time to see what works where, what we can leave, what we need to remove and so on. In the end I'm certain it won't be the same as it is now.

While the curser is on the "back" button, right click and select the line you want to go back to...works for me, though irritating; and yes too many bs ads. This worse than watching TV.

Too easy to click on them with an ipad while scrolling.
McAfee antivirus also is blocking content because its potentially dangerous. I say ditch the adds a soon as possible. I would rather pay to be a member of the site.

I don't have a use for steel toe muck boots but the site is really insisting I need them. Everywhere....and I mean EVERYWHERE! Make it stop!
For the love of God make it stop!

So I was doing some on-line shopping for some new earrings for my wife a couple days ago and then I come on here to find that "Bryce" has posted an add in the middle of his post for those exact same earings. How did he know I was looking at those?!?! LOL... Please dont allow adds to intermingle with posts. Keep them off to the side or above or anywhere but in the middle of posts.

X3 Pages are slow to load and an ad popped up in the middle of the page, I figured the site had been comprimised. Guess it is after all... with google ads. The site has been "Scroogled"

Ads?
For things for sale?
I never noticed there were any ads on the site.
These ads obviously made one Hell of BIG impression on me and certainly made me want to buy their products!
I don't think so!
Never paid any attention to the ads on this site. Money WELL SPENT!

Sorry folks, we are still doing some tweaking. I assume everyone noticed the one that showed up dynamically in the middle of a thread is gone?

That's a step in the right direction.. What if you just had one of these adds at the bottom of each thread?

I don't know what has been going on, but all I see is text in a white background, with 40 ad squares in a column on the left. This in firefox and IE. Going on for a few days now, what gives?

I have no clue what you are seeing on the left. Any chance you can send me a screen capture of it?

Clicking the back-button twice (essentially double-clicking) makes it work fine.
